Inspired by Disney

This morning I had absolutely no idea what to wear, so I turned to the Disney characters for inspiration. They are so colorful and fun, so it's super easy to think of an outfit based on them. This morning I chose to make an outfit inspired by Dumbo. The grey and blue are the colors of Dumbo himself, and the yellow necklace is like the scarf around his neck and the color of his hat. It's a pretty loose interpretation but hey, I was able to come up with something to wear.

Vintage Finds

Sorry I've been so bad about posting lately, but with all of my testing for school, it's hard to find time. This weekend though, I went with my mom to see the house of General George C. Marshall. It was a wonderful house, and nearby was an antique shop. My mom and I have a love for vintage and antique things, so we could not restrain from going inside. Although most items were expensive, I found a watch and a key for very cheap. I hope to make the key into a necklace. Also, It finally feels like summer with the temperature at like 97!!!

Both items from Old Luckett's Store Antiques.

DIY Project: Big Bow

This project is incredibly easy but can be worn to spruce up any simple tank top or tee.

Materials-
4: 3/4 yard length pieces of fabric (about 3 to 4 inches wide)
Thread in a matching color
Sewing machine

Step 1. Turn right sides of 2 strips of fabric together and sew. Repeat with the remaining two pieces, leaving both ends open.

Step 2. Turn the fabric pieces right side out (making them like tubes) and sew one of the edges on each one.

Step 3. Sew the ends of the fabric together, connecting them into one long strip.

Step 4. Tie the strip into a big floppy bow!

Passports and Permits

It may seem like a normal outfit, but little did I know that when I needed my passport later in the day, I matched it. Why did I need my passport? to get my permit!!!! I also coincidentally wore my key earrings, like car keys! I've already driven a little and it's so scary to know that you're in something that could potentially kill you, but it's also so much fun!
