DIY: Braided Fabric Bracelet

I loved this bracelet from Anthropologie, but since it's so expensive, I decided to make my own version!

Step 1. Tie 3 pieces in a knot, leaving about 2 or 3 inches free on the end. Repeat with other 3 pieces.
Step 2. Braid then knot each group, again leaving 2 or 3 inches at the end.

Step 3. Tie the braids together at each end.
Step 4. In the middle, wrap the copper wire.

Step 5. On one end of the bracelet, take one of the loose strips and knot it a few times. Cut away the remaining strips at this end.

Step 6. On the other end, take two of the loose strips and tie them to make a loop. Cut away the remaining stip.

Step 7. Fasten the bracelet by slipping the knot into the loop.
Step 8. Wear with a super gorgeous outfit for best results :)

Some variations could be adding beads into the braid, or adding an actual clasp to fasten it.

Photo Shoot!

I did a little photo shoot a while back with a family friend, and I just had to share some of the pictures (although unfortunately they are before I got my braces off). Have a wonderful Monday!

Back To Summer

I was feeling really nostalgic about summer today so I decided to play dress up with warm weather clothing, although it's freezing outside! I'm wearing a shirt I designed and made yesterday (and that i'll be wearing) for my school's fashion show. I actually really like how it turned out. It's business in the front, and a party in the back! heehee!

Birchbox

I found this super cool website called Birchbox the other day, and totally loved the idea. For 10 dollars a month, they send you a cute box filled with samples of really nice beauty supplies. I just ordered one box, but I got so excited when it came in the mail! Here's what was inside.

Sparkles and Crochet

It's been a slow and super long week, but thankfully it's the weekend now! I'll be spending mine sewing a bunch of clothing for my school's fashion show. In the pictures, I'm wearing my new Steve Madden "Croquet" flats. I think I'm actually starting to form an addiction to his shoes... heehee. Anyways, I hope you have a wonderful day!
